Louis Vuitton Americas continues the journey in transforming our store network, and we are currently seeking a Procurement Manager- Construction to join our Finance Team. As a Procurement Manager- Construction, you will play a pivotal role in ensuring the seamless execution of sourcing and procurement activities for store constructions and renovations across the Americas, in close collaboration with the Store Planning team. Your responsibility will be to orchestrate the RFI, RFQ, RFP process with finesse, ensuring optimal supplier selection; to negotiate effectively to strike the right balance between cost and quality; to establish, manager and monitor contracts with suppliers; drive into multiple data sources and leverage market intelligence to craft innovative category strategies that give our Maison a competitive edge.
Job responsibilities
Responsibilities include, but are not limited to: The Procurement Manager will be a brand ambassador and maintain strong relationships with suppliers, ensure regular communication. Additionally, they will monitor and evaluate the performance of suppliers through business review meetings, address performance or quality issues, and implement corrective actions when necessary. Identify and implement continuous improvement initiatives to streamline internal procurement operations, enhance efficiency, and reduce overall costs. Support the Supplier Sustainability and Diversity, Equity & Inclusion initiatives within Louis Vuitton Americas Capturing market and business intelligence, the Procurement Manager will conduct regular market research to identify new suppliers across relevant trades (such as millwork, façade, general contractors, architects etc.). Benchmark and analyze Louis Vuitton’s position against competitors as well as cross functionally with other LVMH Maisons. Collect data from past and present budget sheets to track spend per trade, and supplier. Collaborate with the Store Planning Team to forecast demand accurately.
Profile
Finally, this manager will lead procurement execution and handle supplier evaluations, bid leveling, negotiation, selection and contract processing to ensure the best conditions, quality, and cost are met. Always ensuring compliance with company policies, procedures, and legal requirements throughout the procurement cycle. Track and report on cost avoidance and P&L savings. The ideal candidate will possess a background in retail luxury/ hospitality with a focus on procurement and exhibit competencies in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, Architecture, Finance, Economics, or relevant field. They will also have demonstrated abilities in Cost Estimation, Construction operations, owner Representation and/or Construction and Materials Procurement. Ability to read and interpret engineering and construction drawings, and project schedules. Strong understanding of procurement processes, supplier management, negotiation strategies, and contract management. Outstanding negotiation, communication, and interpersonal skills. Ability to work under pressure, manage multiple priorities, and meet deadlines. Entrepreneurial spirit, ability to challenge the status quo and generate new and disruptive ideas. Excellent analytical skills with the ability to interpret data and make informed decisions. Ability to speak foreign languages is a plus (French, Spanish, Portuguese or Italian).
Additional information
The appointed candidate will be offered a salary within the range of USD $115,000-125,000 annually plus the opportunity for a bonus, a comprehensive benefits package including: medical, dental, vision, short and long-term disability, various paid time off programs, employee discount/perks and two retirement plans both with employer contributions. The position requires 4 days per week on site in the Louis Vuitton Corporate Office, located in the heart of Midtown, Manhattan.
