Alan is in his third and final year as an apprentice within LV_NEO, the Maison’s Tech Department. He works with a transversal team on Cloud Computing solutions, with the goal of optimizing Cloud usage and reducing its environmental impact.
“Joining Louis Vuitton was eye-opening: the Maison is really at the forefront of innovation in technology. There’s a continuous drive towards new frontiers. Before my apprenticeship, I didn’t realize how many cutting-edge projects were being developed. It’s impressive!
It’s true that there is a strong culture of excellence that characterizes our work, yet at the same time there’s a true family feel throughout our department. Every person feels like they count: when the Director of our department walks through the building, he greets people individually by name.
We often work with other departments on large-scale projects. My manager has trusted me to present our work to some of the Maison’s leaders, which has been an incredible experience in terms of professional development. It’s really rewarding when we can see the direct impact of our work on the business in real time.
I applied to the role thinking I wouldn’t have a chance, but then I was selected! Even if you’re shy, you have to try: put yourself forward, nothing is impossible.”
