Team leadership
- Lead, develop and evaluate the four Logistics Executives; set objectives, run the weekly logistics review, hold the mid-year and annual reviews.
- Keep ownership clear: one owner and one backup per task, cover during leave and peaks.
- Be the single escalation point for stores, merchandising and retail on any logistics topic.
Inbound and control tower
- Own end-to-end visibility from departure in Europe to store receipt: in-transit tracking, lead times, claims.
- Steer the inbound forwarder: capacity planning, service levels, rate card application, invoice reconciliation.
- Plan and secure the inbound for events, window installations and store openings.
Customs, duties and regulatory
- Guarantee customs compliance in six countries: declarations, duty optimization, audits, archives.
- Own product regulatory affairs with the local authorities and inspection bodies: registrations, licenses, CITES.
- Keep business continuity plans current for regulated categories.
Carriers, brokers and tenders
- Manage the carrier and broker portfolio: contracts, SLAs, performance reviews, claims and insurance.
- Lead tenders and renewals with Legal and the central transport team.
- Drive carrier integrations with the delivery management platform so every shipment is tracked end to end.
Cost and performance
- Own the logistics budget lines: transport, customs, brokerage, destruction, packaging.
- Validate the full cost monthly; challenge every deviation from the agreed rate cards.
- Publish the logistics KPIs to retail, merchandising and finance: lead time, on-time delivery, cost per unit, claims, compliance.
Operations, environment and projects
- Supervise destruction and recycling, environment and HSE audits, out-of-system flows and building logistics.
- Prepare network changes with the distribution center.
- Document and improve the SOPs.
