My name is Vincent and I am a Senior Client Advisor for Women’s Accessories. I have been with the House for 20 years, of which 18 at the Maison Champs-Elysées. I started my career in the luxury hospitality industry and a long time ago, applied for a role as a Sales Assistant at Louis Vuitton, not thinking at all that I would be successful. I was very proud when I was hired. I started at the Paris Saint-Germain-des-Prés store and later had the opportunity to pursue a 3-month mission to launch the Conciergerie service at the Maison Champs-Elysées store… the rest is history!
There has never been a plateau in my development, over the course of my twenty years. With every manager and every team, I have never stopped learning and evolving in my career. That’s why I’ve stayed for so long, it’s a dynamic place. It’s exciting, there’s an excitement and adrenalin that you can feel in the store.
When I think of Louis Vuitton, I think of family. Firstly because my earliest memory of the brand is going to the store in Lille as an 18-year-old on my birthday. My mother bought me a little card holder and wallet for my birthday, in green. It makes me emotional thinking about it. Today, the team also feels like family. Our teams are very close and that’s how we succeed: together. I’ve always felt that you can accomplish more working as a team – alone, you won’t get very far. Here, colleagues support each other and are always there to listen, through the ups and downs of life. That’s something that has moved me over the years.
I don’t think it’s what people expect when they think of Louis Vuitton. Perhaps they imagine a colder, more rigid work environment. Of course, there are certain codes to adapt to when you interact with clients, as we are after all a luxury Maison. But you can still be yourself, in fact I think you have to be – people don’t wear masks here. For me, being accepted as I am is really important, it’s why I feel at home here.
Wherever you go at Louis Vuitton, whichever store you join, you will find extraordinary people. Come and join us, we are waiting!
