LV World Run 2022: Louis Vuitton teams achieve the LVforUNICEF fundraising challenge!
The LV World Run 2022 – the second edition of the internal solidarity event organized by Louis Vuitton – took place from September 11th to 25th. Louis Vuitton employees, their families and friends all came together with the shared goal of raising funds for UNICEF programs, supporting the most vulnerable children around the world.
This global event raised over $152,500 USD within the Louis Vuitton for UNICEF partnership which was launched in 2016. Organized in over 28 countries, the LV World Run 2022 drew more than 4,500 participants among our teams at workshops, stores and offices in France, Japan, the United States, Australia, Switzerland, Taiwan, China, Hong Kong, Singapore, the Czech Republic, Hungary, Romania, Italy, Portugal, Spain, Finland, the Netherlands, Norway, Denmark, Sweden, Belgium, Austria, Greece, Turkey, the United Kingdom, Ireland, South Africa and Germany.
The event kicked off on Sunday, September 11th with a solidarity run organized by teams from Louis Vuitton headquarters in Paris. Joined together at the Jardin d’Acclimatation, teams came from the Central Headquarters, Cergy logistics center, the Asnières Workshop and our Europe, Middle East and South Africa headquarters. Employees and their families were all enthusiastic to show their support for our global partnership with UNICEF.
Workshops hosted by UNICEF volunteers also gave participants a chance to gain greater awareness of the daily challenges facing children living in vulnerable situations. They learned the annual cost of a school bag and supplies for a child and discovered the array of programs sponsored by UNICEF in places across the globe. They gained a better understanding of the positive impact of education for girls, plus the difficulties many children face to get from their homes to school and back. These missions underline UNICEF’s strong engagement and the importance of the funds raised each year by Louis Vuitton within the scope of our partnership.
