Interview with the Store Director of Maison Osaka Midosuji
Have you faced any difficulty to put the team together?
To ensure success of this project, I focused on making sure that our staff members who are involved were able to stay positive and have a good time while working on it. In reality, over 115 opening members all understood clearly of what each needs to do, in some instances noticing things that even I hadn’t been aware of and poured their utmost efforts into preparing for the opening. More than anything, the fact that everyone of us, no matter how busy we were, placed top priority on services provided to our clients and this, I believe, was what led to the success of our grand opening.
What was your most impressive moment?
If there was one thing I can acknowledge through this project is that I, more than anyone, was able to become a Louis Vuitton big fan.
During the period leading up to the opening, I received a great deal of support from many departments. And the nature of the support was that which took into consideration what kind of a store we wanted to create.
Everyone involved worked as a single team on areas involving not only human powers and products, but also facilities in the store, advertisement, operations of the store as it opened, support from other stores, and pre-opening events to which VICs were invited.
As such, I will never be able to forget the amazing feeling we experienced when our first clients entered our store on the opening day.
What is your next objective?
To offer the highest-possible quality service to our clients. Our clients are always expecting things to evolve, so our future goal is to create the kind of service quality that can respond to such expectations.
Welcome to experience the world’s greatest excitement at Maison Osaka Midosuji!
Our great voyage has just begun.
Interview with the Retail Business Development Manager
Mission and challenge in the project
Maison Osaka Midosuji’s opening contrasts in scale compared to any store openings we have done in the past. My position of retail business development, which serves as the hub for the stores and office departments as well as our business partners, is extremely important. Because of this, and since I was new to the post, this position presented itself as a major challenge for me to take on. I had spent the past 20 years in retail for Louis Vuitton. Drawing upon this experience, I placed the highest priority on working on the needs of the stores member and was able to properly prepare as we carried this project forward.
Your most impressive moment with the Maison Osaka Midosuji opening
We were able to get maximum supports from all departments as well as our business partners that support the opening, and as the opening day drew near, all of our cooperative components began to resonate with each other, just like gears meshing perfectly. When we reached the opening day of our Maison as a single team, it was also the moment in which I achieved my own goals.
The journey of Maison Osaka Midosuji as well as my endeavors will continue for a long time to come!
