Yacine, can you tell us a bit about your background and what brought you here?
My journey has been one of technical and personal growth. After earning an engineering degree, I started my career in a semiconductor company focused on design and research. My interest in the supply chain led to an internship at another Maison in the LVMH Group, marking my entry into the luxury industry. Fascinated by the opportunities in this field, I applied for the Horizons Program, and here I am.
What made the Horizons Program stand out to you? Why apply?
The program's rotations seemed like the perfect environment to keep challenging myself and fueling my curiosity. Louis Vuitton isn’t just any company; it’s a symbol of French craftsmanship and innovation. Learning from the best was an amazing opportunity that I wanted to dive into.
Where will your first HORIZONS rotation take you?
My first rotation is in Issoudun, in central France, working as a quality engineer. It’s a role I am familiar with thanks to my previous experiences, but the products are entirely different, uncovering new perspectives for me. For my first rotation my objective is to gain a thorough understanding of Louis Vuitton standards and processes and Louis Vuitton in general!
Looking forward, what skills are you hoping to develop?
For technical skills, I’m really focused on gaining a deep understanding of operational management. I want to learn how to handle the complex logistics of getting high-quality products from workshops to stores around the world. Regarding soft skills, I’d like to work on my communication as we’re consistently in contact with teams from across the whole value chain.
What’s the best piece of advice you’ve received so far?
To listen and ask questions. In a place as dynamic as Louis Vuitton, curiosity is a mindset.

Initially preparing for a legal career, HORIZONS Operations graduate Marie-Alvina reflects on her path to the HORIZONS Operations program.
Marie-Alvina, what led you to apply for the HORIZONS Operations graduate program?
I initially pursued a double degree in Law and Management and gained significant experience in product development during internships, working on prototyping for showroom and runway presentations. This blend of technical and creative aspects captivated me. I then joined Louis Vuitton as an apprentice Project Manager in women's leather goods for runway shows, learning various production stages. Wanting to broaden my understanding of all operational areas, I considered a graduate program. HORIZONS felt like a perfect match, offering rotations through different roles and direct engagement with the ateliers, providing a comprehensive view of the company's operations.
How are your rotations structured?
I will be starting at the Ducey atelier, where the main aim will be to gain a very hands-on perspective of production lines. Following this, I’ll transition to a Project Site Manager role, this will get me closer to resolving issues directly on-site—an aspect that I would not experience as closely in a purely office-based role. Finally, I’ll work as a Style Coordinator at Barberà, managing product development for accessories. This role combines operations and creativity, and I’m really looking forward to it.
What have you learned from working within the ateliers?
One of the most intriguing aspects has been gaining insight into the challenges faced by colleagues at each stage of production, whether in managing lead times or adapting to unexpected last-minute requests.
Looking forward, where do you see yourself heading after the program?
I’m keeping an open mind. My experiences in both development and production could open onto diverse paths. With the support and mentorship provided here, I’ll continue to explore where my strengths and interests align.
Do you have any advice for those hesitant to apply to the program?
Louis Vuitton is accessible to anyone willing to remain open and grounded. Throughout the application process, I reminded myself to stay genuine and not to mold myself into what I thought might be the typical expected profile. Ultimately, it’s about being curious and embracing learning.
