Position

Louis Vuitton is recruiting for a Merchandising Seasonal based out of our New York City Office that will support the Rare & Exotics business in Louis Vuitton Americas. The Merchandising Assistant, Exceptional Categories is directly responsible for the growth of Hardsided, Objets Nomades and Exotics within the zone, while also acting as the coordinator of experts for these categories. You will be responsible for the sales and stock management cycle: selling reports, product opportunities, stock management and forecasting.

As an active team member you will support the organization of exceptional events end to end for region and zone partnering closely with Paris and the retail teams. You will also assist the team by tracking and managing orders and sales during and after events, providing regular updates. 

Key aspects of the role also include to serve as the ambassador to the retail community to share business and product information; support retail during training programs and yearly conclaves for hardsided and exotics. 

Experience in Microsoft Office, you will create tools in PowerPoint, Excel, and other web-based platforms for our stores including launch updates, product books, and be responsible for all tool updates. In addition, you will regularly update the company Intranet with the most up to date information, maintain the sample closet organizations with shipment coordination and tracking, and assist with customs compliance management for product being shipped.

Profile

We are eager to speak to individuals with one to two years of experience in Merchandising (inclusive of internships) that have a strong product sensibility and knowledge of the competitive landscape with a passion for the luxury industry.  In addition, the ideal candidate will have exceptional Excel and PowerPoint skills with strong analytical abilities.  You will be highly driven, organized, proactive, and detail oriented with the ability to deliver to tight deadlines.
