Workplace Technologies Systems Engineer
Louis Vuitton is seeking a Workplace Technologies Systems Engineer based in our New York office that is responsible for the management, maintenance and evolution of the computing platforms which drive the Louis Vuitton corporate & retail environment. The Workplace Technologies Systems Engineer will be expected to partner with internal IT teams (End User Computing, Networking, Service Delivery) & Third-party outsourced managed service providers. The Workplace Technologies Systems Engineer participates in the design, testing, validation and maintains all Windows, OSx and VMware based systems. This person is expected to function as local product owner of Windows and Apple computing platforms, providing oversight, training, and documentation (where necessary) to L2 & L1 teams as well as keeping compliance with the IT core model.
The Workplace Technologies Systems Engineer will collaborate with both the global Louis Vuitton IS&T end user computing team and windows server team to actively develop both short and long term projects pertaining to the overall architecture, design, and planning of end user facing and backend computing systems. Additionally, the engineer acts in a Level 3 capacity to ensure that all systems are constructed according to current core model and capacity requirements, set up with high availability and disaster recovery, and equipped to handle additional future business need. The engineer accurately documents system statuses and records and corrects major issues as they arise. To mitigate/prevent security vulnerabilities, routine maintenance checks are performed as well as the management and deployment of system patches, updates, and upgrades.
In addition, the Workplace Technologies Systems Engineer will ensure the smooth execution of applications projects related to new systems/technologies introduced by the Global and Zone headquarters including technical requirement analysis and implementation in coordination with IS&T Applications team.
We are eager to meet individuals who have 5 to 7 years of experience in End User Computing Administration and 2 to 4 years of experience as a system build engineer. The ideal candidate will have excellent written and oral communication skills and the ability to question and look for answers. You also have advanced skills in documenting work activities and training agents. Technically, you are an expert in Windows 10 and Apple OSx image creation, administration and troubleshooting with experience with Modern Management Solutions.
