Merchandising Manager, Watch & Jewelry
Louis Vuitton Americas is seeking a Merchandising Manager based in our New York office to develop and execute the merchandising strategy for Watches & Jewelry as well as High Jewelry and High Watchmaking, across the business. The role will develop and negotiate product forecasts with the team in Paris and build category sales objectives with the Watches & Jewelry Director and VP. The Watches & Jewelry Merchandising Manager will also create assortment plans based on local market needs, work with CRM and identify opportunities to maximize existing and grow new client base.
The Watches & Jewelry Merchandising Manager will participate in multiple buy sessions in Paris annually to review and forecast new collections and create comprehensive plans to drive new launches and budget ambitions. Additionally, further partnership with the Paris Product Team and Watchers & Jewelry Merchandising Director and VP will occur by providing monthly qualitative and quantitative business reports. This role will also partner with the Supply Chain team on product flow to stores, model stock management, rebalance tactics and product movement (notably High Jewelry and High Watchmaking) and with the Visual Merchandising Director to ensure appropriate product presentation. This role can also expect to partner with the Retail Teams to gather feedback, host product trainings, and support client events.
This role will best suit an individual with at least five years of retail merchandising or buying experience, Watches & Jewelry experience is a plus. This highly organized individual should have a Bachelor’s degree, strong computer literacy and advanced Microsoft Excel skills. Additionally, strong product sensibility, extensive knowledge of competitive landscape and trends and a passion for the industry is desired. Proficiency in French is a plus.
