Merchandising Assistant, Accessories
Louis Vuitton is recruiting for a Merchandising Assistant based out of our New York City Office that will support the Accessories business in Louis Vuitton Americas. This role will be 1-year in duration. As an integral member of the Merchandising team, supporting the Men’s & Women’s Accessories teams by generating reports, creating store tools & updating the Intranet, staying abreast of the movements by competitors and key influencers, and managing samples. The Accessories Assistant will manage special order belts by liaising with store teams and Paris while tracking orders and troubleshooting for clients. In addition, you will run competitive analyses of the Accessories market while recapping criteria such as pricing, trends, and actions by gender.
Key aspects of the role include generating and analyzing a variety of reports to recap the business on a weekly and monthly basis, supporting the buying sessions through a strong understanding of business needs within the market, and partnering with the Supply Chain team for additional analysis as needed. With extensive experience in Microsoft Office, you will create tools in PowerPoint, Excel, and other web-based platforms for our stores including launch updates, product books, and be responsible for all tool updates. In addition, you will regularly update the company Intranet with the most up to date information, maintain the sample closet organizations with shipment coordination and tracking, and assist with customs compliance management for product being shipped.
We are eager to speak to individuals with one to two years of experience in Merchandising (inclusive of internships) that have a strong product sensibility and knowledge of the competitive landscape with a passion for the luxury industry. In addition, the ideal candidate will have exceptional Excel and PowerPoint skills with strong analytical abilities. You will be highly driven, organized, proactive, and detail oriented with the ability to deliver to tight deadlines.
