Position

As Logistics Manager you will ensure efficient physical flows from the warehouse point of sales and / or Clients. This includes partnering with 3rdparty vendors to ensure the transportation process works as expected and provide support to stores for any issues related to transportation. The Logistics Manager will also manage the billing process for the 3rdparty vendors managed. The person should also have project management skills to lead the innovation and sustainability of our logistics processes.

Profile

Operational tasks: Manage store relationships providing relevant and reliable information (delivery lead time, order follow up, etc.), Resolve and respond to Logistics Tickets, provide immediate support regarding shipments via email/phone, relay store requests to appropriate department. Manage performance of transportation vendors and implement corrective actions. Coordinate transportation and customs activities. Be responsible for activity continuity, proper traceability and according reporting. Deploy short term and day-to-day activities to ensure efficient response to logistics defined strategy. Ensure cooperation with peers. Apply company rules and guidelines in day to day activities. Monitor and anticipate vendor payment process to avoid service disruptions. Monitor & validate transportation invoicing and close disputes with carriers. Participate to solving claims from customers related to transportation. Ensure compliance with all required documentations to support transportation flows (product documents, import/export, ...). Answer discrepancy reports and work with the warehouse on any missing parcels / parcel issues.

Project management: Work in partnership with the vendors and define action plans to improve processes, methods and tools, improve the communication of disturbances to stores.Encourage the implementation of environmentally conscious alternatives when appropriate. Propose transportation strategy when/if applicable (alternative transportation mode, shipping partners, transportation risks,...). Work with the logistics and finance departments to simplify invoicing, payments and reconciliation processes for all vendors within the department.

Principal Skills, Knowledge, And Personal Attributes Required: Education: BS/BA degree in business, engineering or a related field. Previous Work Experience: 1-3 years professional experience in a customer service related environment,experience in vendor management, project management experience.Advanced knowledge of Excel or proficiency with Excel with ability and desire to utilize: Vlookups, pivot tables, filtering, conditional statements, experience with importing and formatting different reports into excel for manipulation, comfortable with analyzing big data sets. SAP experience a plus. Ability to work independently with a high level of initiative. Ability to multi-task and make quality/timely decisions. Highly organized and detail oriented. Strong quantitative analytical skills.
