All LVMH Pride, our LQBTQIA+ affinity group, hosted several dynamic virtual events to commemorate Pride Month, including exciting speakers and social events.
The Speaker Series launched with a discussion led by guest speakers Lowell Kane, LGBTQ Center Director, and Sasha Velour, distinguished gender-fluid drag queen and Visual Artist, who animated a lively discussion on the history and journey of the LGBTQIA+ community. The second Speaker Series, led by several employees from across the Maisons, focused on how beauty and fashion impacted their personal journeys of self-identity and self-acceptance, along with the important role their colleagues had on their experiences.
In the spirit of celebration, we welcomed mixology experts from Chandon, for a LVMH happy hour where they shared their skills on crafting rainbow cocktails inspired by the Pride flag. The calendar closed with a family picnic, which welcomed community members, allies, partners, children, friends and coworkers. Connecting with one another, while carving out a space to learn and share created a memorable experience for all.
Aaron from the Louis Vuitton Retail Learning team explains, “In these challenging and uncertain times, I was comforted by the strength and solidarity of these online gatherings with members from other LVMH Maisons.”
