We are looking out for a Sales Planner / Senior Sales Planner to join our Louis Vuitton South Asia team!
Duties & Responsibilities
Sales Forecasting
- Work closely with Finance and Merchandisers to define and update the projected turn-over of the zone (best estimate) taking into account historical data, latest trends, the zone business plan and feedback from countries
- Analyze and understand the sales trend, seasonality and global business trends on Accessories and Perfume
- Responsible for monthly and daily weights used for forecast management for the category
- Review the sales forecast at product bucket on a monthly basis and ensure its consistency with the best estimate; take into account quantitative as well as qualitative inputs; build a strong relationship with central sales planning team and enrich them with the vision at regional level
- Support the buying process by defining the open-to-sell envelop in partnership with the Merchandising team before each buying session. Provide benchmarks, sizing optimization, turn-over projection and consolidation when necessary
- Ensuring seasonal product sell-through is meeting targets by monitoring launch performance, initiating rebalancing and store network optimization, and stock push
KPI Reporting
- Take part in the preparation and the animation of the Sales & Operations meeting with regional stakeholders
- Generate efficient and simple analysis to share the main messages and orient top management decisions
- Provide visibility on the level of the forecast / best estimate and the gap with actual sales
- Provide feedback on new products performance and stock status
- Highlight and work with Merchandisers to reduce risks & obsolescence of past launches and end of life items
Profile
Qualifications & Skills
- Degree in Business, Operations Management, Supply Chain, or IT background
- At least 5 years in supply chain planning experience
- Travel required to Paris for buying (approximately twice a year) and Market visits as planned
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel (SQL, Power Query)
- Macro and VBA programming, Power BI reporting experience is a plus
- Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to work across different functions and levesl, and to interact at distance (with central team)
- Good negotiator, able to balance Merchandisers’ focus on sales with inventory real-life constraints
- Strong verbal and written communication: Ability to simplify, synthesize and convince
- Organised individual with the ability to perform under pressure & tight deadlines and deal with ambiguity
- Strong understanding of luxury products and market / sensibility for accessories, or possess the curiosity to understand the specificities
