Personal Data Protection Policy - Application

The purpose of this Personal Data Protection Policy (the “Policy”) is to describe how Société Louis Vuitton Services (“SLVS” or “Us”), a French company with registered office at 2 rue du Pont Neuf, 75001 Paris, France and/or the affiliates of the Group Louis Vuitton (the “Affiliates”), each in their quality of controller, process personal data (“Personal data”) of an applicant (“You”) when he/she apply to a job available on the website https://jobs.louisvuitton.com (the “Website”).

This Policy describes the processing of Personal Data we implement (hereinafter the “Processing”) within the framework of our process of recruitment as well as your rights related to the protection of your Personal Data.

1. Identity and contact details of data controller

1.1 The data controller is the entity which determines the means and purposes of the Personal Data Processing

As regards the Processing of your Personal Data collected via the Website for purpose of recruitment, the data controller is: for France, SLVS, and for the other countries where You apply a job, the relevant Affiliate. You can get the name and address of the entity acting as data controller in your jurisdiction, here.

2. Description of Personal Data Processing implemented

2.1 Purpose and legal bases of Processing

The Processing implemented is intended to enable us:

• Based on our legitimate interest, to reply to and manage your online applications made via the applicants space in the Website’s “Talent” section;

• Based on you consent, to produce, via the use of cookies (tracers), statistics related to the use of and visits on our Website in order to measure the interest of persons searching for a job or internship;

2.2 Personal Data processed

The Personal Data related to you and collected and processed for the purposes described above are:

• To manage your applications: last name, first name, email address, telephone number, professional experience and all the information you communicate to us by sending your application and/or your curriculum vitae:  photo, skills, education level, languages spoken, salary expectations, personal address, leisure activities, family status, etc.  These Data are collected and stored only within the framework of the management of your applications and are not used for any other purpose, including for commercial purposes.

• To produce statistics: your connection logs and IP addresses

The Data which are essential for SLVS or the Affiliates to satisfy the purposes described above are pointed out with an asterisk on the Website’s various pages.  If you do not fill out these mandatory fields, SLVS or the Affiliates will not be able to respond to your requests and/or to provide you the requested services.

2.3 Recipients of your Personal Data

Accessibility within the LVMH Group

Your Personal Data are processed by the various departments of SLVS or of the Affiliates:

• Human Resources Department of SLVS or of the relevant Affiliate;

• Departments related to your application at SLVS or the relevant Affiliate;

• SLVS’s Institutional Communication Department and Financial Communication Department as regards your requests and the production of statistics.

Accessibility by third parties

Your Personal Data will also be accessible to third parties, namely:  (i) to the recruitment agencies with which SLVS or the Affiliates works and which may advise them in the management of their applicants databases and help them in selecting profiles in such databases; (ii) incidentally, for technical and logistical reasons, to SLVS’s or any other entity of the group Louis Vuitton subcontractors (notably hosting and Website maintenance providers) and, lastly (iii) your connection logs and IP addresses are also processed via the Adobe Marketing Cloud and Google Analytics tools to produce statistics.

Your Personal Data may be transferred to a third party in case of a restructuring of SLVS or of the relevant Affiliate, including in case of a total or partial assignment of assets, merger, absorption-acquisition, demerger and, more generally, any reorganization transaction.

Lastly, SLVS or the relevant Affiliate may communicate your Data to third parties when such communication is required by law, a regulatory provision or a judicial decision, or if such communication is necessary to provide for the protection and defence of its rights.

2.4 Transfers of your Personal Data abroad

The recipients of your personal data may be in countries other than the country in which your data were collected, including a country where the legislation on Personal Data protection differs from the country in which your Data were collected.

Indeed, as part of your application process, your Personal Data may be transmitted to Subsidiaries worldwide. The complete list of Subsidiaries is available here.

SLVS providers, Subsidiaries or their subcontractors may also be located outside the country where your Data has been collected.

 

2.5 Retention period of your Personal Data

The Data related to your application will be retained for a period of two (2) years as of when they are provided or as of the last contact with you, then they will be destroyed or will be filed for the sole purpose of meeting our statutory obligations.  At the end of this 2-year period, SLVS or the relevant Affiliate may recontact you to know whether you want SLVS or the relevant Affiliate to continue to retain your Personal Data, in view of being informed of an opportunity that may arise and which may correspond what you are seeking and to your skills.

3. Your rights

Subject to the legislation applicable in your country, you may have a right of access and of correction of your Personal Data and the right to request the deletion (right to be forgotten), the right to oppose the processing of your Personal Data and the right to obtain the limitation or portability of your Personal Data, subject to urgent, legitimate grounds SLVS or the relevant Affiliate may show to retain your Data.

As regards the Data related to your application, we request that you keep up-to-date the information about your in your “Applicants Space”.

Such rights may be exercised directly by sending an email to personaldata@louisvuitton.com.  You may be asked to provide proof of identity. You can also write directly to the appropriate Subsidiary in your jurisdiction.

You may modify your Personal Data directly in your “Applicants Space” or delete them by clicking on “Delete my data”.

Subject to the legislation applicable in your country, you have the right to bring a claim with the Data Protection Authority in your country.

4. Cookies

We may collect certain information through cookies, web beacons and other automated means. A cookie is a text file which is stored in a dedicated area of your device’s hard drive, for instance when you visit online service, when you read an email or while installing or using a mobile app. A cookie allows its sender to identify the device on which it is stored during the period of validity of consent, which does not exceed 13 months.

What type of cookies do we use?

• Some cookies may be functional to collect information which will allow Us to facilitate your browsing such as languages preferences or memorizing log-in.

• Other cookies also collect information on your behaviour by collecting referring URLS (where our visitors come from, which directed them to our website), pages accessed, times of websites visits. Such information will allow Us to enhance our web sites and apps, have a better understanding of the sections you would prefer, and offer you more personalized communications and/or more personalized content on our website or our applications.

• We may include in our website or apps the possibility to share content with third parties or to let other persons know you browsed our website. Such is the case for instance of “Like” and “Share” functionalities offered by social network platforms (“Facebook”, “Twitter”, etc) .

Social networks which offer these functionalities may identify you even though you do not use these functionalities on our website. Indeed, such functionalities allow social network platforms to track information about your browsing on our website whenever your social network account is active while browsing our website.

We do not control how these platforms collect your Personal Data while you are browsing our website. We invite you to read the Privacy policies of these social networks to find out how they use information they collect (including for advertising purposes) through these buttons. These Privacy policies should provide you information about how to manage your preferences on your social networks account. 

Acceptance of cookies

Except for functional or security cookies, the use of cookie on a Device depends on the user’s choice, which can be made and modified freely and at any time.

If you share your Device with other people and the Device operates several browsers, we cannot guarantee that personalised services and advertisement designed to match your personal use of the Device (if such personalised services and advertisement are available) will correspond to your own use and rather than someone else’s
